How did her parents feel the first time they held her. There are many details she wants to know. I especially like how the father plays as much of a role in the story as the mother. Although Curtis' book is about a domestic adoption, I think it is important to show our girls the many ways families are formed. Was she tiny and perfect.

My daughter is 5 and loves every ounce of it. The only part I disagree with is I think football is the greatest sport, not baseball.

She does it so well that any child can appreciate this book, regardless of how their family was put together.

Although every adoption story is different, I think this would be a great book to encourage every family to talk about their adoption story to their kids. I bought it shortly after we brought home our daughter who joined our family through domestic adoption. This is an awesome book for domestic adoption. The first time I read it my husband & I were a waiting family and I cried. We had to travel to another state to pick her up.
